Dr. Kenneth Weiner
VMD
Dr. Weiner is a passionate veterinarian with a rich background in animal care and conservation. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 after earning his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2003. As an undergrad, Dr. Weiner immersed himself in animal conservation, tracking the genetic changes of collared lizards, rattlesnakes, and three-toed box turtles in the stunning Ozark Mountains.
Before pursuing veterinary medicine, he dedicated himself to teaching chemistry at high schools in Philadelphia’s most underserved neighborhoods, inspiring the next generation of scientists. He also gained valuable experience as a chemist for a major pharmaceutical company. His commitment to animal welfare continued in veterinary school, where he took part in externships at the St. Louis Zoo and the USGS, caring for endangered sea turtles and contributing to vital conservation efforts.
At home, Dr. Weiner shares his life with a lively chocolate lab, an affectionate orange cat, two playful guinea pigs, and a curious fish! He loves spending weekends hiking and camping with his family, embracing the beauty of nature and making memories outdoors.
