How To Pill A Cat

The vet has just prescribed a tablet for your cat. You smile and nod but your stomach starts to turn and the panic starts sets in. Fluffy will start world war 3 before she lets you give her that pill, and now my vet wants me to give it twice a day for 2 weeks??!

First things first, take a deep breath.

You do not need to go out and purchase a suit of armor or kevlar gloves!

There are much less extreme measures that can be taken to help make the medicating experience less traumatic for Fluffy AND for you!

Check out this helpful technique demonstrated by one of our veterinary technicians, Dawn and our long time clinic cat, Radio:

This method can be helpful for any type of oral medication: tablet or liquid. If this method still doesn't work for your "strong-willed" furbaby

or have any questions, feel free to call our veterinary staff!
